We believe that healing begins in a safe, compassionate space. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, or simply seeking more clarity in life, we are here to support you — online or at our Berlin-based practice. We work with individuals from all backgrounds, offering therapy in English in a calm, empathetic, and informed approach.
Hello! Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I’ve worked with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and now support individuals across the globe — offering therapy in English, both online or in-person in Berlin.
Growing up, the human experience fascinated me, and I sought to better understand why we “do what we do”. To bolster my innate curiosity, I studied Medicine and Psychology (1993-2006) and have amassed 15 years of both clinical and private practice.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and trauma-informed, grounded in empathy, openness, and collaboration. Trained in psychodynamic theory, I continually update my toolbox. Most recently learning and incorporating Somatic therapy and mindfulness-based techniques; always adapting the process to your unique needs and goals.
I would like to assist you in finding your path to living a more authentic and actualised life. Together, we will create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow — at your own pace and on your own terms.
Hello, I’m Maria, originally from Canada, but I have lived abroad since 2007. Currently, I am working on a clinical research project concerning intimate partner violence and travel between Germany and Ireland. This means I am only available for digital sessions.
I am trained in psychodynamic theory, as a Clinical Psychologist PhD, and believe we are the way we are because of the impact our early relationships had on us. Additionally, I believe the only way we can change is through the experiences we have with other people. Thus, the focus of psychodynamic therapy is relatable and actionable when compared with other therapeutic approaches which tend to focus on symptom reduction.
My hope for each of my patients is that they develop a greater emotional capacity, which further enriches themselves and their relationships; ultimately allowing for a more fulfilled life. By gaining a renewed sense of self, old patterns of behavior can be recognized and changed, leading to long term healing and growth.
Hi, my name is Clarity, and I am responsible for all of the administrative needs of the Clarity and Co. team. And no, I am not AI, I am in fact a real person! I support the practitioners in their calendar management, emails, invoices, and coffee runs – ensuring we are all prepared to be at your service.
A fun fact about me, I came up with the name Clarity and Co. whilst we had coffee together and chatted about the need for good therapists when living the fast-paced city life!
So, thank you for choosing us, and we wish you all the best on your path to better mental health.
